Long awaited Waterstones bookshop opens in Didcot

Waterstones is to launch its new bookshop at the Orchard Centre in Didcot this weekend.

On Saturday 23rd November at 12pm, classic children’s book character Peter Rabbit will cut the ribbon to officially declare the bookshop open. Customers are invited to enjoy refreshments at the launch celebrations and there will be storytelling and balloon giveaways to entertain the children.

Tobias Grace, Bookshop Manager at Waterstones Didcot says

“We are very excited to be opening our lovely bookshop in time for Christmas. We have had a fantastic response from the local community and we are looking forward to sharing our enthusiasm for books and reading with all our customers.”

A team of six new and experienced booksellers are on hand at Waterstones Didcot to give customers friendly advice and recommendations.

The 2500 sq ft bookshop stocks a bespoke range of books, stationery and gifts and will host book launches, reading groups, and community events to celebrate the written word. The well-stocked children’s department will offer a range of family-friendly activities to inspire the next generation of readers.
