The bitterly cold weather failed to dampen the spirts of huge crowds at Didcot Street fair.

The Broadway and the Orchard Centre were the venue for the 1960s themed street fair which started at tea-time and continued until well into the night.

Fairground rides, stalls, sideshows and street entertainers thrilled thousands of visitors who had to wrap up warm for the annual spectacle.

The traditional parade which included Father Christmas, Reading Scottish Pipe Band, majorettes, Lady Penelope’s pink Rolls Royce from the Thunderbirds TV programme and Hippy clad stiltwalkers.
